Valentine's Day may be coming up, but that doesn't mean we can't write about:

HEARTBREAK

Note, however, that we don't have to stick to characters mourning over a lost love or a failed relationship, this week's challenge can be interpreted in other ways as well! How about a fic where Detective Chiba lines up for several hours at Comiket, only to not get the rare merchandise or doujinshi he wants? How will the Detective Boys handle Masked Yaiba and/or the Gomera series of movies coming to an end? If Youko retires from showbiz, how will Kogorou react? What if Sera finally comes to the realization that, no, her breasts will never pop out? Or Detective Takagi's favorite wrestler loses a match? A fall-from-grace kind of fic the likes of the 3 Ks of Osaka or the Ski Lodge Murder cases from the Conan manga? The possibilities are endless! Happy Anti-Valentine's Day, everyone!

I've looked up the cases you mentioned, and the 3 Ks of Osaka really brings to mind the Tv Tropes quote, "One really has to marvel at the amazingly intricate code messages most normal people in this series can conjure from out of nowhere while bleeding to death." There's probably a challenge in there somewhere, but I can't really think of a good one.

Hmm, I'm not sure how well any of the following possibilities work, but:

-Bourbon's reaction when Akemi first started dating Dai Moroboshi?
-Jodie's reaction when Akai broke up with her?
-Akai's reaction to hearing about Akemi's death?
-Chianti's reaction to Calvados's death?
-I haven't read the manga of this scene, but I understand that Vermouth used Calvados's crush on her to manipulate him. It doesn't seem like she tried to rescue him after he was captured by the FBI. Is there any sort of heartbreak there?

Finally, a more humorous scenario could be anything involving Sherlock Holmes and Conan/Hakuba.
